Concept & Gameplay

[edit | edit source]

The game is inspired by the hit series Squid Game (Netflix) and reimagines many of the show’s iconic challenges for a Roblox multiplayer environment.[2]

Core Loop

[edit | edit source]
  • Players join a lobby and then proceed through several rounds of mini-games/sets of challenges.
  • In each round, players who fail to complete the challenge are eliminated; the last one (or team) standing wins.[2]
  • There is an in-game currency (“Cash” or coins) that can be earned, and cosmetic/boost purchases using that.
  • Unique twist: Some roles cost in-game money (or pass purchases) e.g., Guards, Frontman etc. (Details later.)[2]

Game-modes: Mini-Games

[edit | edit source]

There are many mini-games within the Squid Game X; here are some of the most famous ones:

Game Mode Description / Key Mechanics
Red Light, Green Light Classic: When the “doll” says “Green Light” you move; on “Red Light” you must stop. If you move when you shouldn’t, you’re eliminated.
Honeycomb (“Dalgona”) Carve out a shape in a cookie (circle, triangle, star, umbrella) within a time-limit. Fail and you’re out.
Glass Bridge Bridge with panels: half real, half fake (you’ll fall if you step on a fake). One player (Glass Maker) can know which are real.
Tug of War Two teams pull; the losing team falls into a pit = elimination.
Marbles Betting marbles in a mini-game vs another player. Points of chance.
Mingle, Pentathlon, Night Brawl, Jump Rope, Hide & Seek (Keys & Knives), Sky Squid, Final Dinner, etc. — many newer modes added in updates.

Roles & Special Mechanics

[edit | edit source]
  • Roles: At the start of a match, players can choose roles:
    • Player (free)
    • Guard (costs in-game money) — up to a certain number of Guards allowed.[2]
    • Frontman (top role) — one can choose to play as Player or Guard; limited.[2]
  • Glass Maker: In the Glass Bridge mode, one randomly picked player (or via pass/game-pass) gets the ability to see real vs fake glass panels—offers strategic advantage.
  • In-game economy: Surviving rounds yields cash; having VIP or other passes doubles or increases rewards.[2]

Things to Keep In Mind / Tips

[edit | edit source]
  • Because some mechanics involve in-game purchases (roles, passes) there’s a pay advantage element.
  • Some mini-games lean heavily on chance (especially Glass Bridge if you’re not the glassmaker) so survival isn’t purely skill. Bluestacks
  • If you join late, you might be short-changed by lack of players or server delays — always try to join early.
  • Use codes regularly: Many codes give coins to help you buy boosts/passes. You can visit our Roblox Codes page.
  • For skill-based modes (Tug of War, Red Light/Green Light) focus on reaction time, timing, situational awareness. For change modes, adapt quickly and manage risk.
  • Consider playing as a Guard or Frontman once you’re comfortable — it gives a different gameplay experience.
