Mechanics & Progression in Roblox Volleyball Legends

Abilities:

• These are special skills players can use during matches. Each ability must be charged. Charging can happen via touching the ball, scoring points (if you touched the ball last), or slowly over time.
• Abilities have rarities, which affect how rare/powerful they are and how often they show up in spins.
• Styles likewise affect your character’s stats (jump, speed, spike, block, etc.), appearance, and sometimes special effects. Like abilities, styles are obtained via spins or events.
• Spin / “Lucky Spins” system: These are used to get Abilities or Styles. There is a base chance (“normal spin”) and Lucky / boosted‐spin chance, which increases chances for higher rarity items. The “secret pity” mechanic means after a certain number of spins, you’re guaranteed a “Secret” style/ability if you didn’t get one already.

Roblox Volleyball Legends Update Highlights & Current Season (as of Update 38 / Season 8)

• Update 38 (Sept 27 2025) ushered in Season 8, themed around Halloween & Fall.
  • New maps, score effects, emotes, balls.
  • Ranked rewards for different tiers (Bronze, Silver, etc.) like special balls and emotes.
  • Codes released: UPDATE_38, FALL_SEASON, BECOME_SPIDER – together giving ~15 total spins.
  • A “2x Secret Weekend” event: during that, secret pity is halved (200 → 100), and chances for secret styles/abilities are doubled.
• Earlier updates introduced new Secret Styles and Characters, e.g. Mikage in Update 29 (first secret blocker style with Ghost Arms).
• Update 28 introduced Divine Strength, a Godly ability. This provides a buff: +30% spike power for 15 seconds when used. The update also included matchmaking / ELO changes and spin events.
• Season Passes & Quests: Each season has a theme and its own pass with rewards. Doing quests gives you things like cosmetics, spins, and seasonal items/currencies.
