Anime Vanguards is a Roblox tower defense game with anime-inspired mechanics, where players summon units and build strategies to defend against waves of enemies. The player does not fight with a sword or spear, but with summoned *units* from the stories of Souls, which are placed on the field as a living wall against the attack. Stages progressing through various maps, each with “acts.” Some have “normal” and “nightmare” variants. At the beginning, small resources are provided, but through victory and hard work, the treasure of gems and rerolls grows. From there, you can increase your strength, change *traits*, and develop heroes to higher levels. This game is developed by Kitawari and released in 2024 and recently updated. The total number of visits are about 1.4B+ and more than 2.3 million players added in list of their favorite game. Server size is 24 and Genre is tower defense. In Anime vanguards, there are three game modes, story mode, Legend Stages, challenges mode.

Gameplay Mechanics & Modes

• You summon units (anime-themed) and place them strategically to defend against waves of enemies.

• For example, Update 8.5 — Innocent Wrath (released September 16, 2025) added new units (e.g. “Brolzi Super (Wrathful)”, “Rogita (Super)”, “Wolf (Resurrection)”, “Lord Friezo (Emperor)”), a new dungeon (Frozen Volcano), Dragon Tokens, new modifiers, etc.
• Update 8.0 — “Unending Rage” introduced 8 new units and new story content (Hill of Swords, etc.).

• On Reddit, some players express concern that the game is becoming stale or is “dying,” citing lackluster update content in past versions.
• Others call it “another overhyped cash grab anime tower defense” (i.e. fun but possibly monetized heavily)
